We love this Destin beach proposal! Carson proposed to Gracyn with a big “Marry Me” sign on the beach. Gracyn’s family and her childhood best friend and her family were there to help celebrate the proposal. Gracyn said “Our families have always vacationed together each year. Our mothers work together and they have always been like our second family. Their daughter Ellee is like a sister I never had. I am an only child and she is whom I would consider my sister!”
We also asked Gracyn to tell us a little more about her and Carson. She said “Carson and I started dating 5 years ago in January. We dated my junior and senior year of high school! We come from a small town in Scottsville KY where there is not even a Walmart lol! Everyone here knows everyone and all goes to the same school system. We have always loved going to the beach in Destin/ 30A area of Florida. I have been visiting there ever since I was a child, it’s my favorite place to go! We plan to come back to the Destin area for our wedding in the future! We loved our experience with Shore Shooters, Josh was amazing! He made the experience so comfortable and exciting. Carson did a wonderful job surprising me with all of this”
She also said that she has always dreamed of having a beach wedding in Destin, so we’re looking forward to working with them again when they set a date!
This couple was a dream-come-true for photographer Brianna. They were very much in love, very relaxed, laid back, and down for anything! Brianna said it was one of the most fun Gulf Shores engagement photography session she has ever done!

Debbie, aka “Ama” to her grandchildren, booked this session for her son Ryan, his kids, and Ryan’s girlfriend Casey during their vacation to Florida’s Emerald Coast. But Casey had no idea that it was going to turn into a Panama City Beach proposal! We loved the special touch of having the kids hold the “Will you marry us?” signs.

Drish and her husband Rajan are road tripping and hotel hopping all over the country! They recently booked a Sandestin photography session with us during their stop along Florida’s Emerald Coast.

If you are alive and breathing, you have probably watched or at least heard of the Netflix show, The Outer Banks. As a team, we had visited this stretch of Islands off the coast of North Carolina a few years back but we hadn’t really explored it seriously as a Shore Shooters market until my kid kept mentioning it. My husband and I reluctantly caved and watched the show that our kids kept going on and on about. We admittedly became taken with the scenery and laid back lifestyle portrayed in the show pretty quickly. We obviously weren’t the only ones since it was ranked as the most binged show last year.
So we began planning our trip. We found a cute little airbnb to call home for a few days and we spent most mornings on the beach. I have to say, growing up on the Gulf Coast, I didn’t expect to be blown away by a beach but, I WAS! The Outer Banks is wild and untouched. The weather is milder and the beaches are just…different. We absolutely loved our time there!
Of course I drug my daughter and her boyfriend out for a sunrise session. Sunrises are the best there. I’d never really photographed them this way, but I needed models and they are cute as heck! I’m so glad we did this little session because I saw how sweet they are together as a couple. When you have teenagers you know they will have relationships and God forbid, heartache, so you pray. You just pray that someone will come along and treat your little girl with respect, make them laugh, and look out for them. James is all of that and more for Brianna. We are thankful for him and we are thankful for the Outer Banks.
