I was born in Ohio, spent most of my childhood in Wisconsin, and moved to Alabama at 16. I stayed there for 20 years until I moved to Houston in 2016, but still spend some of my time on the Alabama Gulf Coast. I moved to Houston so my 4 kids could be near their dad and also because they’re all athletes and wanted to be in a bigger city to play sports. It’s been an adjustment, but we actually love it here.
When I’m not taking pictures, I’m either designing a logo, building a website, creating a video, or doing some other form of work. I’m a terrible workaholic. But the rare cases when I’m not working, I love to travel, work out, read, and listen to music. I also play piano and guitar so music has always been a big part of my life.
My favorite thing about photography is meeting new people. I also love the reaction I get when someone loves the images I’ve created that they can cherish forever. For me, photography is the perfect combination of creativity and technology. I am pretty evenly right-brained and left-brained so this is the perfect career for me!
