FAQ

You will receive an email with all of the details and next steps! Check your junk and spam folders to make sure you receive all of the important notifications for your upcoming session! Once your session is booked, we’ll get you assigned to a specific photographer.  The photographer will always reach out to you the day before your session. This is when they’ll go over all of the location details and meet-up info with you directly.

If you paid only the $150.00 deposit at the time of booking, the balance due will automatically be charged to the same card, but not until the day we send you the link to your gallery, which is approximately 3 business days after your session. If you’d like to use a different card for the balance, just send us an email to info@shoreshooters.com and request a payment link so that we can send you a secure link that will allow you to pay the balance using any card.

All of our sessions are about 45 minutes long, either at Sunrise or Sunset. Included in the price is the time you spend with your photographer, as well as the online gallery with all of the high resolution images, along with a print release so that you can download, save, share, post, print and use the images however you like.  Your gallery stays online for 1 year from your session date and you will be able to download all of the images unlimited times!

Every session is different, but on average there are usually somewhere between 75-150 files in a gallery.

The $150.00 deposit is non-refundable, unless the cancellation is weather-related; determined by photographer day of session. In the event that a photography session is canceled due to inclement weather, we will attempt to reschedule the session at a different date or time. If rescheduling due to  inclement weather is not possible, the client may choose to receive a full refund or to have the deposit applied to a future session.

COVID: We know that it seems like a new world and things like Covid can interrupt your vacation and life plans.

If you do have to cancel your session due to illness, personal, family, or emergency reasons, you won’t be charged the balance due. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund deposits due to covid or any personal cancellation reasons. Deposits simply ensure that our photographers are compensated. We hope you understand that we are obligated to pay our photographers for the time they set aside for you, as the cancellation affects their income too.

When it comes to weather, we are always keeping watch! Because weather can change so quickly at the beach, we make changes, adjustments, or cancellations on the day of the session, based on the current radar, as opposed to the forecast. Your photographer is always going to reach out to you the day before your session, and from that point, they’ll be in contact with you directly to make any adjustments as needed to work around the weather! While we’ll always do everything we can to get your session in, if weather makes that impossible, you will receive a full refund of anything you had already paid!

Your outfit is a personal choice, and it’s hard to go wrong. Think about what you want to do with your photos, where you will hang them, how you will use them, then choose colors to coordinate with that. For sample ideas, feel free to check out our Pinterest, Instagram, or our blog to see what some of our other clients have worn for their sessions.

Yes! In addition to pictures of the whole group, we’ll also take photos of the individual families, couples, grandparents with grandkids, siblings, and any other poses you want.

Our Customer Service Team will do their best to get you rescheduled in the event that you need to change the date of your session.  However, since our photographers are only able to shoot one or two sessions per day, a $50 rescheduling fee may apply to last-minute date changes. To avoid this fee, please try to let us know at least two weeks in advance if you need to change the date of your appointment. This rescheduling fee does NOT apply to sessions that are rescheduled due to weather.

As natural light photographers, we only offer 45 minute sessions at sunrise and sunset.  The times you see listed on our scheduling system are set to be correct based on the sunrise and sunset times for that day in that town.  Since we work with the light and timeframe that Mother Nature gives us, we aren’t able to add time to sessions, as it can just be too bright to start early, or too dark to keep shooting after the sun goes down!

When your online gallery is ready, you will receive an email from us with a direct link to your online gallery and a “guest” link to share with your family. We will also include a link to your print release, which states that you have permission to make prints of the digital images.  From this online gallery, you will be able to download the high resolution images unlimited times! The gallery stays online for 1 year, from your session date, so you have plenty of time to save your images!

Short answer, YES! We have a natural, minimal editing style. We’ll adjust for brightness, color, etc. If it’s something that the camera can control, we will edit it before you see the pictures!  The best way to explain our editing process is to say “Edited? Yes! Photoshopped? No.” To see what our finished style looks like, we encourage you to look through our blog and/or check out our social media!

Want some additional editing to your photos? (skin blemishes, etc.) Feel free to send an email to info@shoreshooters.com with a list of image numbers, along with what you’d like to have edited in each one.  Our editors will give you a quote for the whole package. Custom edits are $75.00/hr and our turnaround time for additional editing is approximately 2 weeks!

Tipping is always appreciated, but never required.
